24th Annual Golden Plus Square Dance Weekend

March 13th & 14th, 2009
at the Minnesota State University Ballroom in Moorhead, MN

Mike & Edie Kirsch: The Golden Plus Weekend Round Dance Cuers

Mike and Edie Kirsch are from Burnsville, MN and have been dancing since 1992 and teaching round dancing since 2003. They have been presidents of Minnesota’s Central East Region Square and Round Dance organization and presidents of the Minnesota Round Dance Council. They have programmed the round dancing for the Minnesota Square and Round Dance convention. Mike and Edie have also showcased and taught dances at National Square and Round Dance conventions. As members of Roundalab, they have attended this organization’s convention every year since they became teachers.

Mike and Edie teach beginners thru phase 4. Three nights per week are dedicated to teaching and one night per week they take round dance lessons. They feel that as teachers they need to continue learning themselves; therefore, they attend several round dance weekends each year, continuing their own knowledge of the dance figures and routines.

The Kirsches have two daughters who, with their families, live close by. Edie takes care of two of their four grand-daughters each day. Their grandchildren are the joy of their lives. Mike is an engineer at ADC in Shakopee, MN.
